Mentorship
As a mentor, an important quality is an ability and willingness to listen to others. The person you are mentoring will trust you to know what Christian growth looks like to ensure that your growth is the same.
Whether it’s helping you prepare for your career or future, ministers and other mentors can help you decide the best choices for your growth.
What Does the Bible Say About Mentorship?
This concept is also vital to Christian discipleship, as Jesus Himself mentored his twelve disciples. Through his love and guidance, these great men were able to represent God’s love to the world.
Even though Jesus was their mentor, he did not consider Himself above any of His disciples. He reminded them that “servants are not greater than their master” and washed their feet as a gesture of humility.
